Hello friends,
IF you have not visited this place yet , Plan it to visit during monsoon . you will enjoy lot and you will be not disappointed.
Here i share my experience of IGATPURI AND BHANDARDARA from SURAT.
We have started our journey from SURAT at morning 7 am by self drive car.
Now a days ola outstation cab available at surat. And other option are taxi with drive also available (-surat city cab- we have tried it two times for saputara trip.)
On Google map you can see three routes to reach igatpuri, But we have choosed SURAT - manor-wada- IGATPURI ( 295 km total, 6hour approx) .This route is very good till manor . Then approx 30 km route is rough but tolerable. I recommend to go in a group.
we reached at igatpuri at 1pm, we checked in hotel which we have booked onilne (goibibo hotel booking app etc) . you can get good hotel at around 1500INR for 1 night.
After refreshed we have taken lunch at green land restaurant then we proceed to visit Ashoka water fall (vihigaon) which is at distance of 13km and about half and hour drive . Then at evening we return igatpuri and visited Municipaliti dam just 2 km from igatpuri , surrounding hills from this dam is beautiful. if you have time you can visit Tringalwadi dam which 8km from igatpuri.

Overnight stay at hotel. Many restaurants are available for dinner.
Next day morning we proceed to visit Bhandardara (45 km ) . Complete your breakfast in igatpuri as you will not find any good options on route. In bhandardhara visit umbrella water fall and lake . boating was closed at that time. Then we started our journey to beautifull sandhan valley (23 km from bhandardhara) in monsoon you can see there a beautiful reverse water fall . After that around 4pm we drive to returned surat via same route and reached surat at 10 pm.
